2022 Commonwealth Games Day 10, Amit Panghal, Nitu Ganghas and Eldhose Paul pocketed gold for India and increased India’s gold total to 16 in CWG, 22, know the medal tally, list of medal winners today with names in the Commonwealth Games 2022

Indian Boxers Amit Panghal and Nitu Ganghas won gold in men’s (51kg) and women’s (48kg) categories respectively on day 10 of the CWG, 22.

Amit Panghal defeated the European Championships Silver medalist Kiaran McDonald of England 5-0 in the gold medal match.

On the other hand, Nitu Ganghas defeated Damie Jade Resztan of England 5-0 in her gold medal bout and Eldhose Paul wins  historic gold for India in the men’s Triple Jump.

India added four gold to its tally after the end of day 9

In wrestling, Naveen, Ravvi Dahiya and Vinesh Phogat bagged three gold for India after winning their final bouts on day 9, while Bhavina Patel won gold in the women’s Para Table Tennis Singles 3-5.

Rohit Tokas ended his CWG, 22 boxing campaign by winning bronze in men’s heavyweight boxing. In men’s over 92kg super heavyweight Boxing category, Sagar wins his semi-final bout against Ifeanyi Onyekwere to enter the final.

Athletics, Avinash Sable wins silver in the men’s 3000m steeplechase but was unfortunate to finish the men’s 5000m steeplechase race.

It was a nail-biter contest in the men’s hockey semi-final, India beat South Africa 3-2 and will now compete for gold.

Hassamuddin Mohammad bagged another bronze for India in men’s featherweight boxing. Pooja wins bronze in women’s freestyle 76kg wrestling.

In badminton, Treesa Jolly/ Gayatri Gopichand are through to the semifinals of women’s doubles while Lakshya and Kidambi Shreekant are also through to the semifinals of men’s singles.

In women’s cricket, India’s women’s team are also through to the final where they will face the 50-over world champions Australia for the gold.

So far, India has won 45 medals, including 16 gold, 12 silver and 17 bronze at CWG, 22. It will be interesting to see whether India can get close to 100 medals at the end of the competition. There are several of final events involving India, including cricket planned for Day 10.
