Both the Australian men’s and women’s beach volleyball teams, who had perfect starts and won all three of their group stage matches without dropping a set, have advanced to the quarterfinals of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games. From August 5 to August 7, the top eight teams will compete in the knockout rounds.

2022 Commonwealth Games – Beach Volleyball Teams, Groups, Latest Results, Friday Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
The men’s beach volleyball team from Australia overcame a scare from Rwanda to win 21-16 21-18 and clinch first place in pool B. Paul Burnett and Chris McHugh hadn’t lost a set in three games, but they had to rally after falling behind 14-16 to Venuste Gatsinzi and Olivier Ntagengwa in the second set. Australia will play a third-place qualifier from one of the other two groups in their quarterfinal if they win the group. As it depends on previous outcomes and the ensuing draw, their opponent has not yet been chosen.
Meanwhile, Australian women’s beach volleyball team also maintained their perfect start by defeating Cyprus in straight sets with a score of 21-14, 21-13 and progressed to the quarterfinal as the group winner. On Friday, the quarterfinal matches of beach volleyball across both men’s and women’s division will be played.
