Basketball’s 3×3 format is making its debut at the Commonwealth Games (CWG), so fans can expect some intense competition. In Melbourne in 2006 and Gold Coast in 2018, the games included a 5×5 variation of the game. The host nation, the top-ranked team from each of the six regions of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF), and the highest-ranked team that has not already qualified will make up the eight Commonwealth nations who will compete in this event.

2022 Commonwealth Games – 3×3 Basketball Teams, Groups, Latest Results, Upcoming Schedule, Date, Time, And Venue
One of the sports taking place at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England, is 3×3 basketball. The wheelchair version of this basketball variant will be played at the Games for the first time. The dates for all four events are set for 29 July to 2 August 2022. Between July 29 and August 2, 2022, a temporary facility built for the Games will be used in Smithfield, England, for the men’s 3×3 basketball competition. Meanwhile, the women’s 3×3 basketball competition will take place at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in a temporary arena at the Smithfield brownfield site from July 29 to August 2, 2022.
Two groups of eight teams are randomly chosen and the two middle-ranked teams in each group will move on to the quarterfinals after the group stage, while the top-ranked team in each group advances directly to the semifinals.
