The last time when India achieved the 100- medal mark dates back to the 2010 Delhi CWG games since then India has not been able to repeat the same. Talking about the 2018, Gold Coast CWG Games, India finished third by winning 66 medals overall.

Starting with Athletics, India has sent a team of 37 squad members to compete in track and field events. Avinash Sable, Hima Das, and Dutee Chand will be the favourite to watch out for in Athletics.
Cricket
Women’s Cricket will mark its first-ever appearance in the competition. The matches will be played in a T20 format, and India has a great chance of winning the gold in cricket concerning their recent performances at the International level.
Apart from cricket India also has high chances of winning a medal in both men’s and women’s hockey.
Badminton
Talking about badminton, PV Sindhu is the fan favourite to bring the gold home, she recently won Singapore Open Title in 2022. Along with Sindhu, Lakshya Sen Kidambi Srikanth are also in great form and are likely to bring medals in badminton.

A 12-member squad of wrestlers will compete in CWG, 22. In wrestling, Tokyo Olympics Medal winners Bajrang Poonia and Ravi Kumar are the hot favourites to bring gold in wrestling. Deepak Punia, Sakshi Malik and Vinesh Phogat are also favourites for the podium finish.
Table Tennis
Last time it was a glory moment for India as Men’s and Women’s teams each clinched the gold medal in table tennis. Whereas Manika Batra won gold in the women’s singles category.
