Jak Knight, a widely known stand-up comedian and writer died at the age of 28. He was best known for his work on the television series Black-ish.

The news of his death was confirmed by his family. However, as of yet, Knight’s cause of death has not been made public.

After talking about the death of Jak, his family’s representative said,  “Knight’s loved ones ask that their privacy please be respected during this extremely difficult time.”

Jak’s Career

Most recently, Knight worked on new Peacock series, Bust Down. He was the co-creater executive producer, as well as the star in of the show.

The comedy show is about four friends working at the Diamondback Casino in Gary, Indiana. Chris Redd, Sam Jay and Langston Kerma starred alongside Knight in the show.

Throughout his career, Jak has opened shows for many famous comedians like Eric Andre, Moshe Kasher and Aziz Ansari.

In an interview, he revealed that he is inspired from Dave Chappelle. His net worth stood at $1 million and he was single at the time of his demise. He was found dead in his Los Angeles home.

Jak’s fans are absolutely devestated form the news. They are having a hard time accepting that they would no longer get to see Jak perform. Fans are using Twitter to share their sorrow and pay tribute to the talented comedian.

Another user wrote, “Jak Knight has so many outrageously funny bits, but personally this one was always one of my favorites. One that I often quoted the most. Rest In Peace Jak.”

Popular channel, comedy Central has also paid tribute to the late comedian in a tweet. The tweet read, Jak Knight was a hysterical and honest comedian. We will miss him tremendously.”
