Mayans MC had a spectacular cameo by none other than the Best in the World himself, CM Punk, on tonight’s episode, which was a welcome surprise for All Elite Wrestling fans
When Gilly travels to a neighbourhood we haven’t seen featured on the show previously, only to have Punk answer the door, Punk made his debut approximately midway through the show (episode four of the season).
Fans were understandably surprised to see him on their favourite show, and the comments were swift. On the following slide, you can see some of our favourite reactions.
Paul Was Created Specially For CM Punk To Play A Role In Mayans MC
Punk portrays Paul, a guy who served alongside Gilly in the military. Gilly arrived at the residence to join several other former members of Gilly’s unit, including Paul’s wife, who had previously served as its commanding officer and was celebrating Paul’s son’s birthday.
This will not be Punk’s only appearance on the series as show-runner Elgin James noted that the character was created specially with Punk in mind and he would once again be making a return.
CM Punk Showing Up on Mayans M.C
We learn a lot about Gilly’s past as well as the difficulties soldiers face after returning home from service at the cookout. We get a good look at Gilly and Paul’s friendship and how they encourage one another, and while there’s no way of knowing if Paul will reprise the role, things were left open-ended enough that he may.

Following that, Gilly, Paul, and their other veteran pals are shown joking around or reminiscing about old days at Paul’s backyard BBQ. It’s unclear whether CM Punk will make another cameo appearance in Mayans M.C.
Over the previous few years, Punk has done a good amount of acting. The wrestler had a recurrent guest appearance in the first season of Heels, in addition to his parts in Jackob’s Wife and Girl just on the Third Floor.
CM Punk will face Hangman Page again for AEW World Championship at the next Double or Nothing pay-per-view event, as announced on last week’s AEW Dynamite. The T-Mobile Arena in Vegas will host the event on May 29.
