Besides being known as a former WWE superstar, CM Punk is also a former mixed martial artist, commentator, writer and actor. He began his career in the independent circuit, with the Ring of Honor (ROH) in 1999 before signing up with WWE in 2005. Here, he became the fastest WWE Triple Crown Champion within 203 days, the only wrestler to win Money in the Bank back-to-back and held the WWE title for 434 days, sixth longest in history.
In 2014, he retired from professional wrestling after a fallout with Vince McMahon over inappropriate booking and had his first UFC fight as a welterweight in 2016 against Mickey Gall. A second one would follow in 2018 against Mike Jackson, though he lost both of them. Later, he also tried his luck as a commentator with Cage Fury Fighting Championships (CFFC), and as an analyst on WWE Backstage.
He has now signed up with WWE’s rival promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and is all set to take on Darby Allin on 5th September at AEW All Out 2021. His current net worth stands at $10 million. While his AEW salary isn’t out yet, he was the highest-earning ECW star and earned around $1 million in 2011 with WWE. The figure touched $1.7 million in 2013-14.
