The 2023 Chevron Championship will feature 42 of the top 50 players on the Women’s World Golf Ranking in Texas starting from Thursday, 20 April.

It will feature some of the biggest names in women’s golf with the world’s top 20 players all set to take part.
2023 Chevron Championship competition preview
The world’s top-20 women’s golf players, including all of last year’s major winners will take part in the competition. Defending champion Jennifer Kupcho, Minjee Lee (US Women’s Open), In Gee Chun (Women’s PGA Championship), Brooke Henderson (Evian Championship), and Ashleigh Buhai (Women’s British Open) are all set to feature in the highly anticipated competition. Some other top names include world number one Lydia Ko, Nelly Korda and Jin Young Ko.

The 2023 Chevron Championship will take place at “The Club” in Carlton Woods, Texas starting from April 20-23, 2023.
2023 Chevron Championship players to watch
The 2023 Chevron Championship is the LPGA’s first of five major championships of the year. It will feature top contenders like New Zealand’s Lydia Ko, who won the season-ending LPGA Tour Championship and likely to be crowned the Player of the Year. Ko had a stellar 2022, winning three LPGA Tour victories and securing her spot as the world’s No.1 player. She is also the 2016 winner, and she will be looking to ride on all those victories.
Alongside Ko are several previous winners, including defending champion Kupcho, Patty Tavatanakit (2021), Mirim Lee (2020), Jin Young Ko (2019), and Stacy Lewis (2011).
Nelly Korda, the Olympic gold medallist will also make a return to the tournament after missing out on last year’s edition due to injury. South Africa’s Ashleigh Buhai, who won the 2022 British Women’s Open, was the last LPGA winner in the 2022 campaign. Buhai will be looking to retain a second career major title in the upcoming tournament. Other stars include Atthaya Thitikul, the Thai prodigy and 2022 LPGA Tour Rookie of the Year.

The second round will be followed up with the cut after 36 holes, where only the top 65 players and ties will make the weekend.
