By blasting into his maiden Meltwater Champions Chess Tour final, India’s kid prodigy Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa cemented his place at the top of the international chess standings. Pragg is facing world number two Ding Liren in the final of the 2022 Chessable Masters and despite trailing 1.5-2.5 after first day of final, Pragg has solid chances of sealing the win.
The final will be played again today, with the teenager needing to win the second match in order to force a tiebreak. At 18:00 CEST, the game will begin.
2022 Chessable Masters Tournament Rules and Format
Beginning with move 1, the players have 15 minutes to complete all of their movements, plus a 10-second increment. A win received 3 points in the preliminary round, while a tie earned 1 point.
If a tiebreaker is necessary, the players will play two 5+3 games and, if necessary, a single Armageddon game, in which White has 5 minutes and Black has 4, and a tie results in Black winning. Before move 40, no draw offers are permitted.

Chessable Masters 2022 Chess Quarter-Final Results and Semi-final Schedule
Ding Liren began the final of the Chessable Masters by putting Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa, 16, to the test just hours after the brilliant child took a real-life school exam. With a smooth and polished display, the Chinese star demonstrated why he is ranked world number two, winning the first of two four-round matches in the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour’s first all-Asian final with a score of 2.5-1.5.
The second match will be played tomorrow, with tiebreaks used if necessary to determine the tournament victor.
