The most successful trainer is Tom Dreaper, who has trained three different horses to five Gold Cup victories namely Prince Regent (1946), Arkle (1964, 1965 and 1966) and Fort Leney (1968).
With four victories from three different horses, Paul Nicholls is the most successful handler right now. Business (1999), Kauto Star (2007 & 2009) and Denman (2008).
Most successful jockey?
Pat Taaffe, who won four races, is the most successful jockey. He gained victories on – Arkle (1964, 1965 & 1966) and Fort Leney (1968).
Currently, Ruby Walsh (Kauto Star 2007 and 2009), Barry Geraghty (Kicking King 2005 and Bobs Worth 2013), and Richard Johnson (Looks Like Trouble 2000 & Native River 2018) are the three jockeys with the most victories, each having two.
