The final four candidates on Todd Boehly’s shortlist, including Burnley manager Vincent Kompany, are currently down at 6/1. With odds of 12/1, Jose Mourinho is sixth on the list and has a long record of honours from his two stays in west London.
Discussions seemed to be going on over the next few days as the field of contenders shrank to four. Luis Enrique was the first well-known person to arrive and the first to conduct in-person chats, but he was also the first to depart.
Boehly and club chose Graham Potter over Pochettino when Thomas Tuchel was let go. Since the post needs to be filled once more, the Argentine is unquestionably one of the favourites to take over given that, according to the Telegraph, the Blues have been “warming” to Pochettino in recent meetings.
