Chelsea is currently dealing with difficulties as many of the key players from the squad are either injured or are recovering from Covid, know the injury update of Reece James
Thomas Tuchel finds himself in a tight spot as Chelsea drew against Brighton with Reece James and Andreas Christensen the new ones on the Blues’ list of injured players. A draw against Brighton comes as a blow to Thomas Tuchel who seems to have settled with the idea of not winning the Premier League title this season.
But the good news is that Kai Havertz is back in the Chelsea squad and so is Ngolo Kante, meaning that we are mostly going to see these two participate in Tuchel’s plans for the clash against Liverpool on Sunday.

Reece James
As if the tie against Brighton wasn’t enough of a setback already, Tuchel now has to deal with the absence of Reece James, arguably one of Chelsea’s best players so far this season. He picked up a hamstring injury in the first half of the game after colliding with Brighton’s Yves Bissouma.
His injury was “a huge blow”, as Tuchel said and it looks almost certain that James will miss the game against Liverpool

Andreas Christensen
Shortly before James got injured, it was Danish international Andreas Christensen who sustained a “back injury” in the first half of the game on Wednesday. Christensen was brave enough to carry on till half-time, ultimately getting replaced by Trevoh Chalobah. He also will miss the clash against Liverpool.

Timo Werner
The German striker tested positive for Covid-19 right before Chelsea’s game against Everton which concluded with a draws as well. And after the draw, we have for you an update on his current health situation.
Here’s what Tuchel has said of Werner’s condition: “Not good, not in training. Because of Covid.”

Ben Chilwell
Chilwell picked up a severe knee injury last month and from what we know stands confirmed, he will undergo surgery and will be out of any action for the rest of the season. Now that James and Chilwell are both out, Tuchel has admitted to not having any fully-fit full-backs now.

Thiago Silva
The Brazilian picked up a hamstring injury during Chelsea’s away clash with Aston Villa and was taken off the pitch shortly after the half-time break. His injury was the reason for his absence against Brighton and here’s what the German head-coach had to say, “With Thiago it was his hamstring. Hopefully he got out before it became an injury and from there we try to continue and find a new squad.”
