Tuchel’s side will host Everton at Stamford Bridge on Friday and will be hopeful that these players can make an early return. It will be a simple game for Chelsea as Everton are struggling in the bottom half of the Premier League table.
Chelsea’s injury woes reached a breaking point after half of the first team players were struggling with long-term injuries. Tuchel can now breathe a sigh of relief and can head into the cold winter with his squad intact.
Ben Chilwell began his professional career at Leicester City and joined the club when he was just a 12-year-old boy. He progressed through the youth ranks of the club and impressed everybody with that magnificent left foot.
Chilwell made his Premier League debut in December 2016 in a 2-0 home defeat by the hand of Everton. He stayed in Leicester for 5 years before making the switch to Stamford bridge on a 5-year contract. Chelsea paid big money to Leicester for the Englishman somewhere in the region of £45 million.
English full-back has since made 54 appearances for the Blues finding the net 7 times. However, he sustained a ligament rupture on his knee in the Champions League clash against Juventus. At first, Chelsea medical staff thought it was a long-term injury, but the Englishman is right on track with his recovery. He started light running but fears that surgery might be needed in order to prevent him for the future.
He will most likely return to action in 2022 and will be eager to get back in action.
