Chelsea Fan’s Petition To Ban Anthony Taylor For Referring The Clubs’ Matches Hits 45,000 Signatures

A Chelsea fan began a petition to stop the FA from appointing referee Anthony Taylor to the club’s matches

For a league which is largely touted as the best in the world, the standard of referring clearly doesn’t meet those standards in the Premier League.

Over the years, we’ve witnessed some of the most horrid officials step up to referee matches in the showpiece league. And the advent of VAR has only worsened matters with stubborn and rigid referees refusing to overhaul decisions despite their being clear proof infront of them.

Its exposed how little informed and inept the referees are with the FA refusing to get its house in order despite the widespread outrage every year. The organisation has been nothing else but a sitting duck as referees run amuck and spoil encounters to fulfill their own agendas.

One referee whose agenda is now being recognised by even opposition supporters is Anthony Taylor. Harboring an innate hate against Chelsea, Taylor has over the last couple of seasons ended up making some of the most absurd decisions in matches involving the club based out of London.

The fool was at it again as he decided to dish out a red card to Reece James during Chelsea’s visit to Anfield on Saturday. Needed scanty seconds as he looked at a frozen frame during his VAR check, Taylor was quick to decide that he needed to give Liverpool a penalty and send off James for a handball.

The large consensus ensuing the clash was that Taylor had gotten it all wrong with a Chelsea supporter left so livid with Taylor’s persistent antics that he started a petition to stop Taylor from officiating further matches involving the club, one which has been signed 45,000 times.
