It is now evident that Mudryk is injured because he skipped this week’s training sessions at the club’s Cobham facilities.

Chelsea stated that the Ukrainian international is receiving treatment in a post on their official website. A list of eight more players that are injured has been updated to include Mudryk, and they have stated: “Starting rehabilitation having undergone assessments on an injury sustained in training this week.โ
Pochettino, the head coach of the Blues, provided some information about the injury, although he was evasive while insisting it is probably minor. During his press conference on Thursday, he stated “A few days, but he wonโt be available for tomorrow.”
“He is a player we hope to help him perform in the way we believe he can perform. It is not a big issue, we need to wait one week or maybe a few days.โ
For Pochettino, who is losing players virtually on a daily basis, it causes yet another headache. Carney Chukwuemeka will be out for six weeks after undergoing surgery for a knee injury sustained against West Ham on Sunday.
The recently appointed Blues captain, Reece James, had an injury last week during practise that might sideline him for several months.
In addition, a preseason knee injury to star acquisition Christopher Nkunku could keep him out for the rest of the season. Along with the aforementioned quartet, the injured list currently includes Trevoh Chalobah, Benoit Badiashile, Marcus Bettinelli, and Wesley Fofana. Armando Broja is also out for now.
At the present, Sheffield United is the Premier League team with the second-highest number of injuries. Mudryk has had a difficult start to the season after sitting out the first two games against West Ham and Liverpool.
Despite the Hammers having 10 men, the 22-year-old was ineffective after being substituted against them. Pochettino will pray for no further injuries while also hoping for better luck against Luton on Friday night at Stamford Bridge.
