Ranveer Brar’s family and education
Ranveer Brar hails from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, and was born on the 8th of Feb in 1978 into a Jatt Sikh family. He completed his studies at HAL School, Lucknow, and later on did a diploma in the subject of HM from the Insitute of Hotel Management based in Lucknow.
In childhood, he often used to visit the local kebab vendors in Lucknow. On the other, Ranveer’s family wanted him to make his career in engineering, medicine or defense services. He finally convinced his parents leading him to join IIHM, Lucknow.
Brar was born to Ishwar Singh who worked at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited while Ranveer’s mother’s name is Surinder Kaur, and his sister’s name is Shalu.
Ranveer got married to an Indian chef Pallavi on the 14th of July in 2013. He proposed to Pallavi, his love of life while having dinner, which was cooked by Ranveer Brar at Marco Island in Florida. The duo had a Maharashtrian wedding and now they together have a son named Ishaan Brar.

Brar after finishing his diploma started his career at Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi as a kitchen management trainee. Since then Ranveer has opened numerous restaurants at several hotels including the Taj Palace. Brar opened Moriso a seafood restaurant at the fort Aguada Beach Resort in Goa, which is an Italian restaurant called II Camino and a small open-air barbeque eatery which is named as Fishtail.
At the age of 25 years, Ranveer became the youngest executive chef of his time all across India. Brar is also an honorary member of the James Beard House in New York. He then also opened a fine franco-Asian restaurant named as Banq in Boston, Massachusetts. Following this, Brar was appointed as the corporate chef in the oldest restaurant group of Boston named One World Hospitality Group. He, later on, came back to India and he joined Novotel in Mumbai as a senior chef.
