The viral picture allegedly features Yamal’s comment of “Check DMs” under a 2023 post. The screenshot has been gaining more prominence as this surfaced amidst the ongoing controversy of dwarves being called as entertainers to Lamine’s 18th birthday party, due to which the teenager footballer is already facing backlash.

What Exactly Happened?
For the curious, earlier, on Sunday, July 13, Yamal turned 18 and he organized a lavish birthday party, which also gained a lot of attention from media, fans, and critiques alike, however all for the negative comments and backlash that the footballer received after claims surfaced that he hired professional dwarves as a part of their entertainment.
This decision drew intense criticism from the disability rights group of Spain such as ADEE, part of COCEMFE, which issued a stern condemnation. In addition, the group also announced the plan to pursue both legal and social action, as they called the act a violation of ethical values and legislation.

Although, the backlash was already gaining prominence, a supposed screenshot began circulating on the internet, allegedly shows Lamine Yamal dropping a “Check DMs” comment under GOT actor Peter Dinklage’s 2023 Instagram post alluding towards Lamine having invited the actor as well to perform at his birthday party.

While many were lead to believe that the footballer had indeed messaged Peter on Instagram and social media users were quick to hop on the trend, as they flooded the 56-year-old actor’s post with “Check DMs” comment in a mocking or sarcastic tone towards the controversy, the post is fake. The picture was posted by troll football account Just Bizarre Tactics, a doctored image to mock Lamine Yamal. The Twitter/X account has over time gone onto gain prominence on Football Twitter owing to its parody and satirical fake posts on the same lines as NBA Centel.

Meanwhile as the intensity of the controversy is growing, one of the dwarf entertainers, who performed at Lamine Yamal’s birthday party came forward and spoke.
What Did the Professional Dwarf Entertainer Reveal?
While having a conversation with the media, he seemed to be defending the event as he said the footballer “treated me very well. There were no incidents… quite the opposite. we danced, handed out shots, had fun, performed magic. There were wide variety of entertainment.”
