Chase Elliott had surgery on Friday, March 3, the same day the accident happened. Jeff Andrews, the president of Hendrick Motorsports, said that Elliott’s health and well-being are the most important things for the team. They will work with him to set a timeline for his recovery.
Elliott’s place will be taken by Josh Berry while he is away. The Hendrick Motorsports team came in fourth place at the most recent race, the 2023 Pala Casino 400, and earned 7 points.
