Chandramukhi, the 2005 Tamil comedy-horror film starring Indian cinema superstar Rajinikanth, will soon have a sequel, know the part 2 release date and cast
The sequel will be Chandramukhi 2 and its production on it got underway today. Prabhu, Jyothika, Vadivelu, and Nayanthara played the key characters in the popular movie Chandramukhi.

The movie was the super-popular Malayalam film Manichitrathazhu from 1993 which was remade in many other languages. It included Kannada as Apthamitra (2004) and Hindi as Bhool Bhulaiyaa.
2010 saw the Telugu release of Nagavalli, a stand-alone Chandramukhi sequel. There is a lot of anticipation for Chandramukhi 2 in Tamil, and there are a lot of high expectations for it.
Star Cast Of The Movie Chandramukhi 2
The principal character in the movie is played by actor-director-choreographer Raghava Lawrence. He is most known for his work on the critically acclaimed Kanchana film series. The movie also stars famed actor-comedian Vadivelu in the lead role in addition to Raghava Lawrence. He will play the legendary Murugesan from the first movie once more.
Regarding the female protagonist, it has been rumoured that Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut will play Chandramukhi. The main character is a well-known dancer at the court of the King who is famed for her dancing prowess and beauty.
According to these reports, Chandramukhi will be her second Tamil movie after the critically acclaimed biographical drama Thalaivii. The movie was based on the life of later Indian actress-politician Jayalalithaa. Previously, Chandramukhi was portrayed by actress-producer Jyothika in the first movie.
Start Of The Chandramukhi 2
Filming for the movie began on July 15, 2022, in Mysore, and Raghava Lawrence. He visited Rajinikanth, the “Chandramukhi” actor who is his idol, to ask for his blessing for the movie.
With a beaming smile on his face, the actor also posted a few photos of himself hugging and blessing the superstar’s feet. He also wrote a lovely caption for each photo. While the release date is not known, the movie is set to come out in April 2023.
Storyline Of The Movie
The first film’s director, P. Vasu, was brought on board to helm the follow-up when Chandramukhi 2 was first announced in April 2020. Shivaji Productions came up with the movie’s title.
Lyca Productions, Subaskaran Allirajah’s first partnership with Raghava Lawrence, took over the movie from Sun Pictures.
The film’s music and background score will be composed by legendary music director M.M. Keeravani. Furthermore, R.D. Rajasekar will operate the camera and Thotta Tharani will be in charge of the cinematography. Raghava Lawrence made the announcement via a social media post in June 2022.
