The Indian Air Force appears prepared for this year’s Air Force Day celebrations, which will be held in October, as fighter planes fly by at a blistering rate of speed and leave a long trail of smoke in their wake.

While entry is free of cost to the public, one has to download the pass from the Chandigarh Tourism app available on the Google Play Store and a single mobile number can download two passes. Each entry pass is an encoded QR code that needs to be shown with a valid photo ID card.
While the air show is set to happen between 3-5.30 pm, people have been advised to reach the alighting point by at least 11.30 am and the area will be under heavy restrictions for the two days of the show, with normal activities like boating, walks and more restricted.
Members of the public will instead be making their way in Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) buses that will be plying from 11 alighting points and the bus ticket has been priced at Rs 20. Chandigarh authorities have already made arrangements for parking of 10,000 vehicles at the show.
The Indian Air Force observes Air Force Day on October 8 each year. This day commemorates the Indian Air Force’s formal 1932 entrance as a wing of the British Royal Air Force. Senior officials of the Indian Armed Forces including the Chief of the Indian Air Force attend the annual celebration of the day.

Date Of Indian Air Force Show
The Indian Air Force show will be celebrated on October 6 and October 8, 2022.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) will perform an air display that lasts for almost an hour. A complete dress rehearsal will take place on October 6, and the IAF Day celebration will take place on October 8.
On October 8, President Droupadi Murmu will go to see an IAF performance that features advanced fighter airplanes, transport planes, helicopters, and the Surya Kiran aerobatic team.

At Chandigarh’s Sukhna Lake, Air Force Day preparations for this year are going on in full swing.
How To Get An Entry Pass For The Show?
The Chandigarh Tourism App, which will let locals get an entry pass for the Air Show, was unveiled on Monday by UT Adviser Dharampal.
According to a statement from Dharampal, the whole Sukhna Lake region has been split into 7 zones with unique access staircases so that the general people may witness the air display on October 6 and October 8. There are 11 alighting locations marked on the map for each zone.
The general public will have the ability to choose their preferred alighting places when purchasing admission passes. Entry passes may only be created for two people using one cellphone number.
Each admission pass has a QR code that can only be read by a valid photo ID card.
