The Champions League round of 16 draw will be redone after the fixtures were declared void by UEFA ensuing PSG vs Manchester United
For quite some time now UEFA have been accused of rigging draws in the Champions League and Europa League to schedule fixtures which make for intriguing viewing.

Over the years, rafts of ardent viewers have gone out to notice discrepancies in the draw especially during matches involving Real Madrid. And as the round of 16 draw for the 2021-22 edition of the Champions League took place on Monday, the Manchester United vs PSG draw threw up scores of questions with people pointing out how the Premier League side hadn’t been put back in the draw.
Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.

Manchester United were put back in the pot after it was claimed the club was already drawn whilst it wasn’t the case. And as Manchester United were given PSG, social media platforms were abuzz with claims of UEFA once again rigging the draw to pair Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronado alongside each other.
With their act now out in the open, UEFA has decided to nullify the entire draw and declare it void. In a statement released by the governing council, the body has gone onto state that an external error lead to it deciding to reconduct the draw later in the day at 15:00 CET.
A statement from UEFA said: “Following a technical problem with the software of an external service provider that instructs the officials as to which teams are eligible to play each other, a material error occurred in the draw for the UEFA Champions League Round of 16.
