The Meltwater Champions Chess Tour, also known as the Champions Chess Tour 2022, is a nine-month series of online chess tournaments in which some of the finest players from across the world compete for a prize pool of US$1.6 million. From February 19, 2022, through November 20, 2022, the cruise will take place.
The Oslo Esports Cup, the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour’s first entirely in-person esports tournament, will end the $1.6 million Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. The tournament will be held from April 22 to April 28 and will be the season’s first Major.

For the next seven days, players will participate in one four-game round per day, with the winner being the one with the most points – and cash – altogether. From April 22 to 28, the season’s first Major, the third of nine Tour elite-level events, will take place.
The tournament will run from April 22 to April 28, with games starting at 12:00 ET each day (21:30 IST). The first time the world’s largest and most renowned online chess tour has hosted a fully in-person event from a single location, chess24.com’s dedicated broadcast studio, will be the Oslo Esports Cup. On April 28th, fans will be able to watch Round 7 matches beginning at 18:00 CEST.

Meltwater Champions Chess Tour Leg 3 Day 6 Results, Score, Events, and Schedule
Pragg, who was 3 points clear of the field going into the penultimate round of Oslo Esports Cup, suffered a heartbreaking quickfire setback against Poland’s World Cup winner Jan-Krzysztof Duda. The round finished with a score of 2.5-0.5 in favor of Duda.

Carlsen, as usual, took advantage of the situation by hammering the field’s lowest-ranked opponent, Canadian streamer Eric Hansen. The Norwegian is now the clear favourite to win the Meltwater Champions Chess Tour’s first Major of the season.
Duda and Vietnam’s Liem Quang Le are also in contention, lying just one point behind the leaders on the scoreboard. Carlsen and Pragg, on the other hand, must win by three points and lose by three points. In Round 7, Carlsen will face the deadly Shakhriyar Mamedyarov, while Pragg will face Anish Giri.

Meltwater Champions Chess Tour Leg 3 Prize Money Pool Distribution
The entire prize fund for the Oslo Esports Cup is $210,000, with $7,500 going to the winner of each four-match round. If the game goes to a tie-breaker, the winner will receive $5000 and the loser will receive $2000.
At the age of sixteen, Pragg has already won $10,000 in two events. The teenager, on the other hand, has a chance to significantly boost his prize pool by collecting up to $7,500 for each round he plays in the Major.
