On Monday at Cazoo Champion of Champions, Mark Selby defeated John Higgins 6-4 in Group-4 final to advance for semi-final stage. Earlier during first-round matches, Hossesin Vafaei and Lee Walker suffered early exits following loss in their respective ties.

2022 Champion of Champions Results Today, Day 2 Schedule, Date, Time, Venue, Format, & List of Players
In his first-round match, Leicester’s Mark Selby took on World Seniors champion Lee Walker and after more than 30 minutes tussle, Selby clinched first frame, before gaining 2-0 lead with rapid 82 break. Following this lead, Selby upped his game to win third frame and score 88 in fourth frame, which gave him white-wash win over Walker by score of 4-0. During another first-round match of afternoon, Higgins competed against Iranian Hossein Vafaei of Iran. During this clash, Vafaei took the opening frame with a run of 83 but soon after Higgins tied the score at 1-1. Later, the four-time world champion won next two frames to take 3-1 lead. With a break of 72 in the fifth frame, Vafaei managed to reduce deficit but Higgins scored 118-point century break in sixth frame to secure 4-2 victory.
During group final against Higgins, Selby started on high-note with 140 break to take 1-0 lead but consecutive frames by Higgins meant the decider went into mid-session break at 2-2 score. After interval, both players seemed to have equal chance of winning as score was tied at 4-4 but consecutive frames by Selby saw him clinch semi-final spot with 6-5 win.
Following this victory, Selby has earned berth in semi-final, where he will face winner of Group 1. The winner of Cazoo Masters, Neil Robertson, will play the winner of European Masters, Fan Zhengyi, on Tuesday. Kyren Wilson will then play Ryan Day, who just won the British Open in afternoon session’s second game.

Prize Money Pool Distribution at 2022 Champion of Champions
At 2022 Champion of Champions, the winner will get substantial sum of £150,000 in prize money, while the runner-up will receive £60,000. From the competition’s total prize pool of £427,000, each group champion will get £30,000 in cash.
