Chainsaw Man is an anime with much controversy revolving around it.
The episode 7 which has shown some scene between Himeno and Denji which has stirred up another controversy as many fans are wondering about the actual age of Himeno and the age difference with Denii.
Chainsaw Man Episode 7 Denji and Himeno Age Difference Explained
Unluckily, since the premiere of the episode 7, which is titled ‘The Taste of a Kiss,’ social media is swirling around with some uneasy reactions, opinions, judgements and some concerning age difference between the two characters.
In the original Chainsaw Man manga series, technically, the makers have never really revealed the specific age of Himeno. However, as per reports, we have a pretty idea about the age difference between the two.
Before going into that, let’s see what happened in Ep 7 of Chainsaw Man.
The episode 7 of the series, which is titled ‘The Taste of a Kiss,’ follows the gruesome battle between Denji and Eternity Devil.
Followed by which the team of Devil Hunters seemed to be enjoying a well deserved meal at a local restaurant. After having too many beers, Himeno ended up k*ssing Denji as the group watched them from around the table.
However, unfortunately, for viewers as well as for Denji, it turned out to be Himeno vomiting at the poor Denji.
After being irritated, Denji collapses and is taken home by Himeno. When he awakened, he found himself with Himeno.
The chapter ends with Himeno asking Denji if he wants to do ‘it.’
Coming back to the question which has flooded the internet, as we mentioned above, Himeno’s age was never really revealed in the manga series, which is still ongoing.
However, the consensus within the anime community has it that the eyepatch Devil Hunter is somewhere around 22 to 25 years old.
As of Denji’s age, he is expected to be around 16 years old and Aki is his senior with 3 years gap as confirmed by the chapter 7 of the series and manga characters profile.
Well, as we all know, when Aki joined the Public Safety Division, he himself was the apprentice of Himeno, assuming that the gap between them might be 3 years, so we can say Himeno’s age is more likely to be around 24.
In both the scenarios, Himeno is an adult while Denji is still a minor, as the adulthood age in Japan is considered to be 18 and the age of consent is 13, however, the latter set to be raised 16 in new legislation.
This age gap between the two characters had sent storm waves and caused a stir online as many fans are claiming that Himeno has ‘groomed’ Denji in episode 7.
