Though there are thousands of anime and manga series around the world, there aren’t that many series quite like Chainsaw Man.

Chainsaw Man has a considerably darker theme than many other traditional series, alongside extremely gory violence and a set of superb characters. This Manga has become a fan-favourite over recent years.

However, the Chainsaw man has received a major update and confirmation that the Manga will adapt into an anime and will be streaming via Crunchyroll in October 2022 and the reveal of the main voice cast.

Earlier, in December 2022, rumours about the anime began when The Unofficial Shonen Jump News Twitter page tweeted that a “TV anime adaption” for Chainsaw Man would be produced.

Fans of Chainsaw Man had been expecting an anime adaption from a long-time to be revealed following conclusions of the manga that weekend after author Tatsuki Fujimoto said that there would be an “important announcement”.

Though, on December 13th, it was confirmed that the epic manga would be adapted into a brutal tv series. The announcement came after the first look promotional image for the new series was also shared.

The anime adaptation of the manga will be produced by the MAPPA animation studio. MAPPA has had an incredible few years experience of producing amazing series such as, The God of High School, Dorohedoro, Jujutsu Kaisen and the final season of Attack on Titan etc.

Earlier, on December 3, 2021, the official Twitter page of WSJ_manga reported that both part of the manga and anime will be premiere in next year i.e, 2022.

Though, this had confirmed that the anime adaption and manga series will be featured at this year’s Jump Festival Event in Japan heavily as special panels.

And now, recently in a livestream event of MAPPA’s the news of anime adaption was confirmed and it will be released in October 2022 alongside a brutal new teaser/trailer.

However, a specific release date of manga isn’t shared by the makers, but various reports predict that the Manga will premiere on Sunday i.e, October 2, or October 9 as the Sunday is typically the ideal broadcast slot for all adult-themed anime.

There are various rumours around the social media that the anime will run over 2 cours, however this has yet to be confirmed via official source.

Luckily, Crunchyroll has confirmed that the anime will be streaming via their platform for international fans.

Speaking of MAPPA, they’re one of the largest studios working in today’s anime industry, meaning the team can throw a significant amount of resources towards the animation of our favourite manga.

As per the livestream, Denji’s voice will be given by Kikunosuke Toya Makima. The staff members of the series who will be working on the CSM production are as:

Ryuu Nakayama as the director
Hiroshi Seko as the script directo
Kazutaka Sugiyama as the character designer
Tatsuya Yoshihara as the action director
Makoto Nakazono as the chief director
Kiyotaka Oshiyama as the devil designer
Yusuke Takeda as the art director
Naomi Nakano as the colour designer
Youhei Miyahara as the layout designer
Kensuke Ushio is the composer
Keisuke Seshita as the animation producer.

The cast will be led by Kikunosuke Toya (Tokyo 24th Ward) as Denji, Tomori Kusunoki (Tiger & Bunny) as Makima, Shogo Sakata (Pokemon & My Hero Academia) as Aki Hayakawa, and Fairouz Ai (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean) as Power. Ryū Nakayama (Black Clover and Jujutsu Kaisen) is the anime’s director, and Hiroshi Seko (Attack on Titan) is the scriptwriter.
