A Short Recap Of Gunfire, Ep. 8

Himeno tried to woo Denji in Chainsaw Man episode 8. Suddenly, our hero remembered Makima when he discovered a Chupa Chups lollipop in his pocket. He apologises to Pochita and explains that Makima is the only person he wants to give his virginity to.

Himeno and Denji agree the night before’s antics were foolish in the morning. However, they become close because of a deal they make: Himeno would help Denji get with Makima in exchange for Denji helping Himeno get with Aki.

Makima is in the middle of heading to Kyoto to meet with her superiors when all of a sudden, the people in her vicinity pull out their weapons. Makima is shot in the head, and the other Public Safety officials who were travelling with her are all slain.

Denji, Himeno, Power, and Aki are eating breakfast at a ramen cafe when a suspicious man starts asking Denji about food tastes. Throughout the nation, Division 4 members are being attacked in “Order 66”-style executions. Then, this man displays a picture of the Yakuza leader that Denji served in episode 1 and pulls a gun on himself. He then shoots Denji and Himeno before getting sucked up by Aki’s Kon.

In order to escape Kon, the man changes into a hybrid devil form with katana swords sprouting from his body. Aki is able to overcome him, but another blonde-haired female intervenes.

Himeno offers herself as a sacrifice so that her Ghost Devil will have the strength to repel these two unidentified assailants, but the monster is devoured whole by a huge snake that the blonde-haired woman controls. Only a heap of Himeno’s clothing is left at the end of the episode, and the Ghost Devil has been vanquished.
