In reaction to the horrifying crime, DCW chief Swati Maliwal took to Twitter to express her horror and called for action from the police. Maliwal wrote, “In Delhi’s Shahbad Dairy, a minor innocent doll was stabbed and then crushed with a stone. The spirits of the criminals in Delhi are high. Issuing notice to the police. All limits have been crossed. I have never seen anything more horrifying than this in my career of so many years.”
Police responds amidst public outrage in Delhi Murder case
In response to the public outrage following the incident, Delhi Police issued a statement, clarifying the relationship between the victim and the accused. “A 16-year-old girl was stabbed to death by her boyfriend, identified as 20-year-old Sahil, in Shahbad Dairy. Sahil and the deceased were in a relationship but had a quarrel yesterday.
The deceased was planning to attend her friend’s son’s birthday when the accused intercepted her, stabbed her multiple times & hit her with a stone. The accused is absconding and a search for him is underway. An FIR has been registered.”
Commissioner speaks up in the Delhi Murder case
Deputy Commissioner of Delhi Police, Suman Nalwa, assured the public that swift action would be taken. “A murder case was reported yesterday in the Shahbad Dairy PS limits. Also a team has been formed and an investigation is underway. The accused has been identified. We will soon arrest him,” DCP Nalwa stated.
