At the upcoming 2023 Cazoo Masters, reigning world champion Ronnie O’Sullivan will begin his campaign against Luca Brecel to end his title drought. Meanwhile, defending champion Neil Robertson will begin his title defense with face-off against Shaun Murphy. This tournament will be hosted at London’s Alexandra Palace from 8th January to 15th January.

2023 Cazoo Masters Snooker main round draw, schedule, date, time, venue, format, & list of players
O’Sullivan’s first-round opponent is Belgian Luca Brecel, who made it all the way to the English Open final in December before losing to Mark Selby. Despite winning in Hong Kong and the Champion of Champions competitions, O’Sullivan has not yet displayed his greatest play in ranking tournaments this season. However, analysts have backed him to end his title drought in this competition to clinch his 8th Masters title.
Neil Robertson enters as the defending champion and one of the most impressive players on the tour after making three ranking semifinal appearances this year. Due to unforeseen circumstances, 2021 champion Yan Bingtao was suspended over match-fixing investigation and hence, 17th ranked David Gilbert qualified for the draw to compete for the prestigious Paul Hunter Trophy.
According to format of 2023 Masters, all matches except the final will best-of-11 frames. However, the final will use best-of-19 frames format to decide the new champion. This tournament’s winner will bag massive prize money of £250,000 alongside the prestigious trophy.
