The official trailer for the third installment of the comedy-drama film franchise Carry on Jatta, titled Carry on Jatta 3, was released by popular singer-cum-actor of the Punjab Film Industry Gippy Grewal, who is riding high on the success of his recent release Dhaka, know its budget and cast
Gippy plays the lead part and also serves as the film’s producer through his company, Humble Motion Pictures. Sameep Kang, director of the comedy-drama film Lucky Di Unlucky Story (2013), is at the helm.

Carry on Jatta 3 is all set to release on June 29, 2023, with Sonam Bajwa and Gippy Grewal as lead actors. The Gippy released the updates for his highly anticipated comic drama flick Carry on Jatta 3 on Friday, April 1, 2022. He took to social media to unveil the third installment of his most popular franchise.

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan, comedian Kapil Sharma, and the entire ensemble of Carry on Jatta 3 debuted the film’s official trailer on a massive scale on May 30, 2023. Aamir danced to a Punjabi beat with Gippy Grewal and Sonam Bajwa, and posed for photos with the two of them and others.
The upcoming June 29 release of Carry on Jatta 3, based on the trailer, looks like a bigger and better experience than the first two films in the series.
The Cast of Carry on Jatta 3
It’s expected that Gippy Grewal, who played Jass Dhillon in the previous two films, will reprise the role in the third. Gippy’s latest track, named “Khatarnak,” also features prominent Punjabi rapper Bohemia, with whom he has not worked in two years.
Grewal will be joined by Jaswinder Bhalla (Goldie Dhillon) and Binnu Dhillon (Advocate Dhillon) as well as Grewal himself.
Karamjit Anmol, who played both Taji and Tony in the previous films, will reprise his roles in the forthcoming film. Gurpreet Ghuggi, a Punjabi actor and comedian, is more likely to bring back his character Honey. The movie is made on a budget of Rs.5-10 crores.

Gippy Grewal’s brother Sippy Grewal produced the first film, which starred Mahie Gill, under his Sippy Grewal Production label and came out in 2012.
The film’s gross was 18 crore rupees on a budget of only 3.5 crore. The film’s plot was heavily inspired by the Malayalam film Chakkikotha Chankaran, released in 1989.
In 2015, it was adapted as Pilata Bigidigala in Odia, in 2016 as Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam in Telugu, in 2017 as Dhat Teri Ki in Bangladeshi Bengali, and in 2019 as Jamai Badal in Bengali, India.
The sequel, also released in 2018, featured actress Sonam Bajwa as the female lead opposite Gippy Grewal. Earning Rs. 57.67 Crore on a budget of Rs. 8-12 Crore, it became the highest-grossing Punjabi film of all time.
