It comes as a shock that defending champions Manchester City are not a part of the contest anymore but their exit has surely paved the way for the remaining 4 teams to compete for glory at the Wembley.
In the quarter finals, we saw Arsenal cruise past Sunderland with a 5-0 victory while Chelsea also managed a comfortable 2-0 win against Brentford and that too away from home. On the other hand, Liverpool and Tottenham had to work their way up to proceed to the semi-finals. Jurgen Klopp’s side took the game to penalties against Leicester, ultimately emerging victorious against Brendan Rodgers’ men.
As for Tottenham, they gave it their all against West Ham United as the Hammers went on an attacking spree but were held off by the Spurs’ defence. The North London club registered a 2-1 win at home and will now take on Thomas Tuchel’s side in the semi-final.
