They didn’t even guarantee that this would happen on this particular date. However, they accompanied the date with a GIF of Captain Prices from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. This appears to imply that this is when we’ll hear more about the sequel.
The first Call of Duty 2022 teaser, is rumoured to be Modern Warfare 2.
To back up this rumour, fellow source Tom Henderson recently revealed additional details about Activision’s Modern Warfare 2 plans. Henderson recently stated that the first trailer from MW2 will be released at the end of May, adding that it is still “five weeks away.”
Even though Henderson didn’t provide a precise date like the other insider. It appears like late May will be the time frame we’ll be waiting for at this point. Internal plans like these are subject to change. So take all of this data with a grain of salt again for time being.
The Call of Duty teaser season has begun, with the first hints towards the next game being unearthed. COD players didn’t have to look far on social media to find a secret that was buried in plain sight.
On April 22, the makers of the upcoming game, Infinity Ward, darkened their social media accounts. The last time gamers saw Ghost in action would be in the original Modern Warfare 2. When he fought with Gary “Roach” Sanderson until they were both killed by the traitorous General Shepherd.
This begs the question of when the new game will take place and how the fan-favourite character will fit into the story. However, as the traditional end-of-year publication date approaches, expect more answers.
