Indiana Fever on the move to draft Caitlin Clark with No. 1 pick

With Caitlin Clark as the projected No. 1 pick in the upcoming draft, she has piqued interest from several teams. Among those teams, the Indiana Fever, who hold the first pick, are seemingly poised to bring in Caitlin Clark. This means that she could possibly join 2023 top pick Aliyah Boston in Indiana. Following Clark’s announcement about entering the draft, the Fever posted the following on her official X account, indicating their intentions to select her:

We’re simply reminding you that there are 46 days until the 2024 WNBA Draft.”

Indiana has long been interested in signing Clark. Fevers coach Christie Sides attended an Iowa game back in Iowa City just about a week after the draft lottery in December last year. A month later, in January, assistant general manager Hillary Spears travelled to see Clark play against Purdue in West Lafayette.
