BWF World Championships Badminton 2021 Women’s Singles Semi-Finals Results And Score
After defeating Zhang Yi Man in straight games, the Japanese earned a crack at her maiden world crown.
In the first game, Tai was at her most majestic, but a string of blunders in the second threatened to destroy her chances. The world No. 1 was in good position for the majority of her shots, but her proclivity for going for the tiniest of margins cost her, and He Bing Jiao remained in contention.
Tai, however, was unfazed, and in the final, she asserted her dominance once more, scoring seven points in a row to put herself comfortably in front. He Bing Jiao’s consistency left her as she was kept on tenterhooks by the diversity of shots coming from the other end, and Tai sealed up her final spot in just under an hour, 21-17 13-21 21-14.
