In the womenโs singles, Aakarshi Kashyap exited the tournament after losing 19-21, 20-22 against Thailandโs Pornpicha Choeikeewong. Similarly, Indian youngster Priyanshu Rajawat battled valiantly but ultimately lost to Hong Kong Chinaโs 18th-ranked Lee Cheuk Yiu, with a score line of 21-23, 19-21. Notably, the 2022 Singapore Open champion PV Sindhu, along with Kidambi Srikanth, Lakshya Sen, and HS Prannoy, are set to begin their campaigns on Wednesday.
In the women’s doubles, India’s Rutaparna and Swetaparna Panda crashed out of the event after losing by scores of 12-21, 21-12, 13-21 against Chinese Taipeiโs Chang Ching Hui and Yang Ching Tun. Additionally, Ashith Surya and Amrutha Pramuthesh concluded their mixed doubles campaign after a 8-21, 17-21 loss versus Hong Kong Chinaโs Lee Chun Hei Reginald and Ng Tsz Yau.
