The German Open in 2022 is the fourth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it is a part of the German Open championships, which have been conducted since 1955. The German Badminton Association is hosting the competition, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.

The Westenergie Sporthalle in Mülheim, Germany, is hosting this international competition. The tournament will run from 8th march till 13th march.

Lakshya Sen, an Indian shuttler, raced into the semi-finals of the ongoing BWF German Open in Westenergie Sporthalle on Friday. Sen advanced to the semi-finals by defeating his countrymen Prannoy HS in straight sets, 21-15, 21-16, in a match that lasted 39 minutes.
In another round, shuttler Kidambi Srikanth was eliminated from the championship after losing to Denmark’s Viktor Axelsen in the men’s singles quarterfinals. Sriikanth was defeated by Viktor in straight games, 21-10, 23-21, in a 35-minute match at court 2.
Currently, only two of the eight seeded players still remain in the tournament and stand a chance at lifting the title.

German taxes apply to prize money. As a result, the figures below will be reduced by a 15% levy and a further 5,5% German Solidarity Tax on the sum of the levy.
