The Men’s Singles Tournament at BWF German Open badminton 2022 saw early exit of many seeded players, know the results and live score

The German Open in 2022 will be the fourth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it will be part of the German Open championships, which have been conducted since 1955. The German Badminton Association is hosting the competition, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.

The Westenergie Sporthalle in Mülheim, Germany, is hosting this international competition. The tournament will run from 8th march till 13th march.

Eighth seed Srikanth Kidambi defeated China’s Lu Guang Zu 21-16 21-23 21-18 in a second-round match at BWF German Open to set up a meeting with Olympic champion and top seed Viktor Axelsen of Denmark, who defeated France’s Toma Junior Popov 21-17 21-10 in another match.
On the other hand, Prannoy put forth a valiant effort to defeat Hong Kong’s Lee Cheuk Yiu 21-19 24-22 in a dramatic match. He will now face fellow Indian shuttler Lakshya Sen, who advanced to the last eight by defeating Indonesia’s fourth seed Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.
Currently, only three of the eight seeded players still remain in the tournament and stand a chance at lifting the title.

Prize Money Pool Distribution
According to the table below, a prize fund of USD$180,000 will be distributed.
German taxes apply to prize money. As a result, the figures below will be reduced by a 15% levy and a further 5,5% German Solidarity Tax on the sum of the levy.
