The German Open in 2022 is the fourth tournament on the BWF World Tour, and it is a part of the German Open championships, which have been conducted since 1955. The German Badminton Association is hosting the competition, which is sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation.

The Westenergie Sporthalle in Mülheim, Germany, is hosting this international competition. The tournament will run from 8th march till 13th march.

In the quarterfinals of Women’s Singles at German Open 2022, third seed Chen YF defeated German Y Li in straight sets with a score of 21-5, 21-16 and marched on to the semi-finals.
Fourth seed An S-y also won her quarterfinal clash in straight sets against M Li with a score of 21-11, 21-13. Meanwhile, 8th seed Intanon withdrew from her quarterfinal match, which allowed He BJ from China to get a bye to the semi-finals.
Top seed Tai Tzu-Ying and second seed Akanae Yamaguchi also bowed out of the BWF German Open in the second stage. Hence, third seed Chen YF and fourth seed An S-y are strong favourites to win the women’s tournament.
