In the quarterfinals of Women’s Singles at German Open 2022, third seed Chen YF defeated German Y Li in straight sets with a score of 21-5, 21-16 and marched on to the semi-finals.

Fourth seed An S-y also won her quarterfinal clash in straight sets against M Li with a score of 21-11, 21-13. Meanwhile, 8^th seed Intanon withdrew from her quarterfinal match, which allowed He BJ from China to get a bye to the semi-finals.

Top seed Tai Tzu-Ying and second seed Akanae Yamaguchi also bowed out of the BWF German Open in the second stage. Hence, third seed Chen YF and fourth seed An S-y are strong favourites to win the women’s tournament.

Prize Money Pool Distribution

According to the table below, a prize fund of USD$180,000 will be distributed.

German taxes apply to prize money. As a result, the figures below will be reduced by a 15% levy and a further 5,5% German Solidarity Tax on the sum of the levy.
