The women’s team Japan and Malaysia went against each other on the first day of the 2022 Asia Team Badminton Championships
The Malaysian side emerged victorious, defeating Japan 3-2 in a five round match.
On Wednesday, the Indian women’s squad will begin their campaign in Group Y against hosts Malaysia. The rest of the Indian contingent, including Malvika Bansod, a Syed Modi finalist, was picked based on their cumulative ranking points from the two all-India senior ranking competitions held in December.
