Robert Lewandowski agent wanted the Polish International to join the Premier League giants Chelsea before the club signing Romelu Lukaku
Rumors in Germany reported that the agent of Bayern Munich forward Robert Lewandowski offered him to the Premier League club Chelsea who were in the transfer market for a striker. However, Chelsea rejected the opportunity the bring the Polish International to Stamford Bridge and have opted for Romelu Lukaku to lead the line.
It is an interesting choice made by the Chelsea board ahead of the new season who were desperate to bolster their attack because of inconsistent performance from Timo Werner and Kai Havertz. Meanwhile, Chelsea head coach wanted the Belgium International Lukaku at Stamford Bridge to register his claim towards the Premier League title this season.
It is reported in Germany that Lewandowski would have been much cheaper but Chelsea have once again proved that they have no shortage of money and can buy whoever they want. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich had no plans of letting the Bundesliga top scorer leave the club who has become an integral part of the team

Chelsea has backed their former player Romelo Lukaku to solve all their problems in the attack by rejecting the opportunity to bring the Bundesliga top scorer Robert Lewandowski to Stamford Bridge. Meanwhile, Lukaku has signed a new deal with the London club that will earn him a reported €12 million per year.
Meanwhile, reports in Germany suggest that the London outfit had a chance to bring Robert Lewandowski to the club but the German manager Thomas Tuchel favored the Belgium striker because of his vast experience in the Premier League.

Both the players have done extremely well in their careers becoming one of the best strikers in Europe by scoring magnificent goals.
Chelsea had a tough decision to make ahead of the new season in terms of saving some money from their €115 million transfer of Lukaku. Whereas, Robert Lewandowski would have been much cheaper and could have been available for €80 million.
It will be interesting to see what kind of role Romelo Lukaku plays in the Chelsea team under Thomas Tuchel who is very impressed by the attributes of the Belgian.
