He played for 4 different clubs in the Bundesliga, Borussia Dortmund, Nuremberg, Werder Burmen and Rot-Weib Essen. He is Borussia Dortmund’s all time leading scorer and won the Bundesliga with Werder Burmen. Manfred Burgsmuller was considered Bundesliga’s most underrated scorer even though he managed to score significantly for all his teams.
- Jupp Heynckes – 220 goals
He began his Bundesliga career as a goal scoring machine before managing Bayern Munich to their treble-lifting season in 2013. Jupp Heynckes was Borussia Monchengladbach’s most formidible striker and led them to 4 Bundesliga Title in the 1970s.
