This week, Brian Windhorst made other revelations as well.
The NBA insider claimed during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up that Kyrie’s poor handling of his teammates and coaches was the primary cause of the problems between him and the Nets.
“The front office of [the Nets] made it plain that the situation from the previous season is unacceptable. Additionally, it was about how Kyrie Irving treated his teammates and coaches, not simply the vaccine mandate, according to Windhorst.
The Nets believed that a “renegotiation of the team’s operating model” was necessary for Irving to stay with the team.
Through three seasons, Irving has only participated in 103 games for the Nets. He missed numerous games due to injuries and his reluctance to follow New York City’s coronavirus vaccine requirement. In those games, he averages 27.1 points, 6 assists, and 4.7 rebounds.
Despite being a title contender going into the season, Brooklyn finished with merely the No. 7 seed in the Eastern Conference and was eliminated by the Boston Celtics in the first round of the playoffs.
“Knowing Kyrie Irving, he probably just didn’t show up.” Following the 2016 Cavs reunion at Kevin Love’s wedding.
The Cavaliers reunion was one of the main joys of Kevin Love and Kate Bock’s recently married life.
NBA veteran Kevin Love, who recently wed his fiancée Kate Bock in a Great Gatsby-inspired wedding at the New York Public Library, was starting a new chapter in his life. After dating for over seven years, the two got engaged earlier this year.
One could anticipate the top stars from the NBA fraternity to attend the occasion after spending 14 years in the league. LeBron James, a former Cavs player and close friend, led from the front. The King brought his wife Savannah with him to the important occasion.
While Kyrie’s absence did draw some criticism, the majority of the Cavaliers’ 2016 championship group came out in force. James had a difficult time watching his brother get married, so he made sure to enjoy some Lobos 1707 to cheer him up.
