Director Ayan Mukerji has now confirmed to the media that his present plan is to release Brahmastra Part 2: Dev in December of 2025.
“Part two script was present when we started part one. This was always one story. The thread is ready. As we have already put in a lot of work into part two and then part 1 and also have written and rewritten it because we had time as Covid 19 happened. There have been several months of part two work and already have a lot of stuff on part two.” Ayan Mukerji
Mukerji also said, “We will go on floors when we rested from part one. The core team comes together and we say, ‘Ok we want to have its part two and want it to release by 2025 December and we are aiming for that for sure’. And then we are on the floors.”
This all indicates that the initial plan was for the Brahmastra trilogy to end sometime between the years 2027 and 2029 with the third and final movie of Brahmastra. The good news is that Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that the plan is to film sequels 2 and 3 at the same time to reduce the time period between each part release.
