A viral video, which a user going by the handle sensible_insensible posted on Instagram, features a man ordering his pals to play an Elvish Yadav song. In response, his companions thrash the speaker and toss it down the stairs, breaking it. The user praises boAt and says that the speaker is still functional despite being broken. Later, boAt added raising-hands emojis to his message on the user’s Instagram handle.

Elvish claimed in a tweet that by making fun of people to build its brand, the boAt company has fallen to a new low. It’s repulsive that they consider this tactic to be okay. He warned Aman Gupta that unless he apologized for his actions, he would personally advise the #ElvishArmy not to buy any boAt products.

BoAt immediately issued an apology

BoAT confirmed in a statement on Saturday that the disputed film produced by sensibly_insensible was not commissioned by boAT or any employee of the company. They continued by saying that boAT appreciates all artists and the works of art they produce and that they would never use humor or any other means to disparage any creator.

The brand’s reaction to the comment mentioned above was favourable for the company and was automatically chosen by their algorithm. No artist of your standing or reputation was intended to be offended or mocked, tweeted boAT.

Elvish responded back

Elvish chose to put the issue behind him after the statement, but not before asserting that, in defiance of the company’s disclaimer, he is aware that the film was in fact commissioned by them.
