Evans Chebet won the men’s elite race at the 2023 Boston Marathon, with Hellen Obiri taking the top spot in the women’s elite race. The marathon, set for Monday, April 15, covers the streets of Massachusetts. It starts in Hopkinton, a charming rural town in Massachusetts, starting from Main Street and following Route 135.

To complete the course, runners will pass through Ashland, Framingham, and Natick, merging onto Route 16 shortly after Wellesley. Upon turning onto Commonwealth Avenue (Route 30) near the fire station in Newton Lower Falls, the course will wind over the Newton Hills, past Boston College, before reaching Cleveland Circle via Chestnut Hill Avenue.
Next, runners will turn left onto Beacon Street and head towards the finish line. They will turn right onto Hereford Street, then left onto Boylston Street, ending near the Boston Public Library in Copley Square, at the heart of the city. Evans Chebet hopes for his third consecutive victory in Boston, but he faces tough competition from Sisay Lemma of Ethiopia and Gabriel Geay from Tanzania.

When & Where to watch: live stream & TV telecast coverage
As per confirmation, ESPN+ and ESPN2 will provide live broadcast of the Boston Marathon 2024. On race day, the live broadcast will begin at 8:30 AM ET and ESPN+ will start broadcasting exclusive content from 4:00 AM ET. This year’s Boston Marathon’s open division winner gets $150,000, while second and third place earn $75,000 and $40,000, respectively.
