The last time Australia did a Test series tour of India it was back in 2017 where India stood victorious with a 2-1win.

Currently, Australia do not have a good track record at the Border-Gavaskar Trophy having lost the last three editions of the competition. Moreover, adding to that challenge is the fact that the Men in Blue haven’t lost a single Test series at home since back in 2012 adding.
The Aussies picked a formidable 18-member squad for the upcoming tour. Although Mitchell Starc will not feature in the squad for the first Test match, he will be available for the rest of the games.
The hosts, India, on the other hand, announced their 17-member squad only for the first two Test matches. Although Jasprit Bumrah is excluded from the list, team India has included some notable names like Ishan Kishan and Ravindra Jadeja who haven’t been featured for a while.
