Kasumi’s party earned a medal after defeating strange ninja-type assailants with Iz’s trap. Following that, the groups reunite and establish a base in an underground dungeon. They use traps set up around the base to keep the oncoming wave of monsters at bay. The following day, at the start of day 2 of the event, a pitch-black light separates the Maple Tree members.
After being separated, everyone begins to panic, and Sally becomes extremely concerned for Maple’s safety. Sally reminds herself that Maple is tough and that everything will be fine. Maple, on the other hand, transforms herself into something truly bizarre – a beacon of light to help guide and locate other members. Maple has transformed into odd things throughout the anime, such as an angel, demon mecha, and monster, but this was truly unique.
