The film Blonde is an adaptation of the 2000 book of the same name written by Joyce Carol Oates. It’s a fictitious telling of the famous actress Marilyn Monroe. The movie has gotten a rating of NC-17.

The biopic development for Marilyn Monroe began in 2010 and the production for the film began in August 2019.

Blonde film release date

Netflix had confirmed a 2022 release year for its much anticipated movie. On June 16, the platform had announced that Blonde would premiere on September 23rd, 2022.

However, the streaming platform later shifted the release date to Wednesday, September 28th, 2022.

The original production for the film Blonde began in August 2019 and finished in July 2021 after setbacks caused by the pandemic. By spring-2022, the post production of the film had been completed.

The first official teaser/trailer of the film was released by Netflix on June 16th which gave its users the first footage of Ana de Armas in character as the Hollywood legend.

Later, in late July, Netflix released the full-length trailer of Blonde which features Ana de Armas delivering a stirring and slightly haunting monologue as Monroe.
