BJP supports Rajasthan deputy CM Prem Chand Bairwa amidst rumors of him being found with Russian girl in Delhi’s Le Meridien Hotel

Posts on Twitter/X have claimed that Prem Chan Bairwa was allegedly found with a Russian girl in a Delhi 5 star hotel

The BJP has refuted reports and supported Prem Chand Bairwa, the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan, who was allegedly taken into custody by police from the Le Meridien Hotel in New Delhi as per the opposition.

Prem Chand Bairwa, a seasoned member from the Dudu Assembly Constituency close to Jaipur, was unexpectedly selected for the position of the Rajasthan deputy CM by the party, surpassing more well-known Dalit leaders like Madan Dilawar and Anita Bhadel.

On Saturday, October 5, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seemed to be vehemently disputing rumours that Prem Chand Bairwa, the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan, was taken into custody after he was allegedly discovered with a Russian woman in a five-star hotel in New Delhi.

The issue hit the headlines after Congress leader Supriya Shrinate posted on X on October 4 claiming that a leader in Rajasthan was found with a Russian in Delhi’s Le Meridien Hotel’s room number 301.

Next day, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) a part of Congress-led INDIA alliance, alleged that the Rajasthan deputy CM had been detained by the police after he was found with a Russian woman in the Le Meridien Hotel. Both the posts didn’t directly take Bairwa’s name but manifold posts online claimed he was the one involved in the scandal. However, the veracity of these rumors is yet to be ascertained with no official reports talking about them.

However BJP’s president of Rajasthan, Madan Rathore has now strongly refuted the reports. He claimed that the deputy chief minister was the target of an endeavour by the opposing parties to destroy his reputation.

He accused the Congress party of descending to the level of “low politics” when speaking with media in Jaipur. He made hints that the opposition was attempting to disseminate rumours and mislead people.

“No BJP leader is involved in this or has anything to do with it. The character assassination that is being done, I believe, is halki rajneeti (low politics) and no one should stoop so low against anyone. Politicians should avoid misleading people, spreading rumours or maligning the image,” said Rathore.

A number of other BJP politicians hurried to support Bairwa as well. Cabinet minister Kirodi Lal Meena took to social media platform X (previously Twitter) to publish a critique of what he described as the deputy chief minister’s “blatant lies.”

Prem Chand Bairwa’s son fined

Prem Chand Bairwa had to deal with an internet outcry after his son showed up in a social media video driving a customized jeep and having a state official car follow him. The transport minister, Bairwa, defended his son on Friday, saying that since he was among his schoolmates, there was no misconduct.

Days after being filmed driving a car with unauthorized modifications and other infractions, the son of Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa was fined Rs 7,000 by Rajasthan’s transport department.

The video, which was shot last week on Amber Road in Jaipur, showed Bairwa’s son operating the car, with the son of Congressman Pushpendra Bhardwaj occupying the front passenger seat and two more people in the back.
