Farooq Ahmed aka Bitta Karate hails from Jammu and Kashmir. But unfortunately, he was arrested by the BSF, Border security force on the 22nd of June in 1990 and was held into custody till the year 2006 before being released on bail. Bitta Karate was an integral part of the chaos that was created in 1990 but unfortunately he was caught after a long time.

The families of the Kashmiri Pandits are still awaiting justice for their family members who were killed brutally back in 1990 in terror attacks.

Bitta Karate Family And Adoption

Bitta Karate is married and his wife’s name is Mrs. Assbah Arzoomand Khan. Bitta got married on the 1st of November in 2011. He met his love of life 3 years before his marriage at a friend’s house and they married against their families as his wife wanted to complete her degree in journalism after her marriage. Presently his wife works as a probation officer for the general administration department.

Farooq’s mother’s name is Fatima while his father was a businessman and later he was adopted by Bitta. He got his name from Bitta only. Born on 1 January, 1973 he is aged 49 years old, alive and free as of today.

Bitta Karate got arrested on charges of murdering numerous Kashmiri pandits during the time of the migration of Kashmir Pandits in the past the 1990s. Bitta Karate along with his associates was arrested by Indian forces in June 1990 from Srinagar and detained under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and had over 19 terror-related cases against him. He remained under arrest for 16 years and was eventually released on indefinite bail in 2006 when the Congress was in power with Manmohan Singh even pictured with Yasin Malik who had killed four IAF officers and a raft of Kashmiri Pandits.

He crossed the LoC to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir for militant training and upon his return from Pakistan occupied Kashmir, Bitta Karate played a destructive part in the 1990 ethnic cleansing and the eventual exodus of Kashmiri Pandits. Karate in his confessional video claimed to have killed over twenty Kashmiri Pandits with his first victim a businessman Satish Tickoo, his own childhood friend and a member of the nationalist RSS.
