In a harrowing event that has shaken social media, a motorcyclist Muhammad Akid Mat Rozi lost his life while performing a high-speed stunt on the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway with the video viral
The deceased, identified as Muhammad Akid Mat Rozi from Permatang Timbul, Balik Pulau, collided with a car during the reckless act. The footage, which was caught on camera, quickly went viral, sparking discussions about traffic safety and responsible driving.

Two short videos have been making the rounds on social media platforms since yesterday, showcasing the shocking incident. In the clips, which run for six and nine seconds respectively, two motorcyclists can be seen speeding towards a red traffic light. Undeterred by the warning signal, they carry on at an unsafe speed.

As a car made a turn from the opposite direction, the motorcyclist executing the “superman” stunt was unable to slow down in time, leading to a direct collision with the vehicle. The second motorcyclist, however, managed to narrowly avoid the accident.

Muhammad Akid Mat Rozi, tragically, did not survive the collision, passing away at the scene during the incident, which occurred around 4.30am. The car driver, while surviving the crash, suffered injuries to his left hand.
OCPD Supt Kamarul Rizal Jenal shed light on the circumstances of the accident, stating that it occurred as the car was heading from Queens Waterfront towards Jalan Tengah, during rainfall. “The car driver turned right when the traffic light was green, only to be unexpectedly hit by the motorcyclist coming from the opposite direction,” he explained.

Officials are going to do an autopsy to find out why the person died. Supt. Kamarul said that the case is being looked into under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act, which is about driving carelessly.
